Can you believe that Easter is already around the corner? The months go by quickly as we age. Thankfully, the idea for this somewhat themed Easter basket for Lily easily came to me. The idea, branching from a random ask, she had a bit back. I am thrilled to share why I did this theme and hopefully give you a few Easter basket ideas—or maybe just fun gift ideas for the toddler in your life in general!

Do you celebrate Easter with an Easter Basket for your kids? I remember mine being hidden and having to find it each Easter morning. That memory (and the photos to accompany it) is special. I would love to hear your stories of Easter Baskets in the comments below!
Lily’s Story – A Random Ask
One morning, I went upstairs to get Lily from her crib, and the first words out of her mouth were – “I want rollerskates, Mommy!” A little taken aback, I asked Lily – “What?”. While Lily quickly responded, “Mommy, I need rollerskates!!” I felt like I kept repeating myself because I was clueless about where this was coming from. After that, she just kept saying over and over again that she needed rollerskates. To my knowledge, she has never seen or been near rollerskates.
My only guess is that Minnie and Daisy were in them at one point, and that is where she got it. Maybe she was dreaming about them that night. Lily kept saying she needed rollerskates the whole morning—she was demanding them even. I tried to keep telling her we didn’t have any, but she wasn’t leaving the idea on the floor. She needed rollerskates!
Side story – We also realized the doll she got for Christmas had all sorts of different outfits, play structures, and other things to go with it. So, one morning, Lily and I were going through and adding things to her wish list for her doll. She just thought adding them to the list made them appear at our house and kept asking for them right after we added them. It was cute. So, a few of the items come from that, too.
So now, guess what is going on in her Easter basket? Among other things. Time to dive into a few Easter Basket ideas!
Easter Basket Ideas
I’ll admit I have had a good time gathering things for this Easter Basket. While I have been tempted to go overboard many times, I have been trying to hold myself back. Included are the items I’ll likely be going with. I have most of the items either already or on their way. I am so excited for you to see them all and even more giddy Easter morning when Lily finds the basket.
- First, of course, is the central theme: toddler rollerskates. They are supposedly an easy first step for littles to learn to skate, and I hope that will be the case. I’ll likely post updates on my Instagram stories, but I may also write an updated blog post about how she did.
- Of course, because she is getting rollerskates, she’ll also be getting knee and elbow pads. These are youth pads in two different sizes.
- In case you don’t have it, this is the Glitter Girls Doll that Lily got for Christmas. I mainly put it on her list because of its pretty hair. But I like the heft of these dolls, too.
- To match the rollerskating theme, I had to grab her the rollerskate outfit for her Glitter Doll.
- I grabbed this ladybug PJ set as another outfit choice for her doll. I put an ask out on my Facebook for someone to grab her ladybug PJs or shirt to match. But do you know how badly I just wanted to grab it myself? Luckily, Lily has the best Aunties, and this cute pj set is coming for her.
- The One and Only Sparkella—This book has been on her wish list for quite some time. We recently got it from the library, and it was most definitely a keeper, so I snagged it for her basket.
- I added more of an Easter book, but not quite. I also grabbed It’s Not Easy Being a Bunny.
- Although this item isn’t in stock at this time, I wanted to include it just in case it comes back: six surprise Minnie Mouse eggs, six Minnie Mouse characters, and stickers.
- While I haven’t bought this yet, I want to. It’s a cute, fluffy, soft bunny with lavender touches.
- Fubbles—Lily loves bubbles, but I hate that she often spills the solution everywhere. Then I heard about these and quickly added them to her wish list. Fubbles are no-spill bubbles. Winning! While I haven’t grabbed them yet and am unsure if I will have them in time for the Easter basket, I know we need them soon.
- While at Safeway a couple of weekends back, I noticed they had small bags of muddy buddies. So, I grabbed one regular and one in Funfetti to add to her basket.
- I grabbed this Sloth basket to store all these goodies because it was slightly less expensive and still cute. But I have my eye on the pink bunny basket, too.
You can easily see my idea list for Easter Basket for Lily on my Amazon storefront. And I may add a few things before Easter as well.
Of course, I have gotten a few other small sweet treats at the grocery store to add in. I do believe we have little plastic eggs upstairs in the attic, so I shouldn’t need any of those.
That’s all for the Easter Basket Ideas. I hope you found a couple of things you’ll add to your little bunnies’ list. Don’t forget to add the stories about the Easter baskets in the comments below. I am excited to hear them.
Happy Easter!
