Four of the Best Games for Gatherings – Plus Giveaway

The Holiday season is here, and one of the first things I think of is games. Gathering with friends and family, pulling out a game or two to enjoy as a group. Nothing better in my eyes. I’ve mentioned before on here that every Christmas, I’d get a few new games for the season and we’d play them all on Christmas Day. One of my favorite simple traditions I am trying to make happen in our household, especially since Lily loves games as much as she does. I am thrilled to be showcasing four of the best games for gatherings. Especially for those who don’t necessarily enjoy games.

Thanks to Winning Moves for sponsoring this giveaway for four games. There are affiliate links included in this post, which, if you purchase from, help support Angie’s Angle at no extra cost to you.

I am also partnering with hosts Mama the Fox and Mom Does Reviews, along with other amazing bloggers, in the Holly Jolly giveaway hop. A hop is great fun, not only for us but for you, too. Four of the Best Games for Gathering

The four games I picked out this time from Winning Moves all gave me the vibes of games that even non-gamers would be willing to join in on. These are four of the best games for gathering, in my humble opinion. Who am I kidding, though? I bet I could easily add in more than these four. But for this post, let’s just say these are the best four.

Four of the Best Games - Main

Pass the Pigs Party

This is such a fun version. There are four sets of pigs – do you think you can be the first to get your pigs to match the card? Good luck! The fun is that if you happen to get the card on your first roll, you can get a bonus roll and earn even more points.

Such a very simple game that is really a lot of fun. This is one of Lily’s favorite go-to games, and we often played it in Idaho.

Pass the Pigs Pig Party (1)

For those 7 and older (although Lily has no problems playing this and finds it extremely fun to throw the pigs), up to 4 players can play at a time. Check out Pass the Pigs: Pig Party on Amazon.

Trouble Classic

Race your four pegs around the board to be the first to make all four home. Easy to play and even more fun to pop the good old-fashioned bubble in the middle with the die in it.

For up to 4 players, ages 5+. But again, pretty sure the age thing is loose, so I’m pretty sure Lily could play, and she is only four. See Trouble Classic on Amazon.

Scrabble Slam

The love of building words, but instead of tiles & a board, you use cards. This makes Scrabble Slam the perfect road trip game or Holiday gathering to take along. Can you win by placing your last card?

Hint – this would also make an excellent stocking stuffer, just saying. For ages 8+, with 2 to 4 players. Check out Scrabble Slam on Amazon.

Yazhtzee Classic

It has been a favorite in our family for as long as I can remember. My Mom loved Yahtzee, so I grew up on it. My Grandma would join us, as would my sister-in-law. At any gathering, Yahtzee would be brought out.

Yahtzee

We do play three rows at a time, similar to Triple Yahtzee, but not quite, since we don’t triple/double the rows, just add them all together.

Will this be a new favorite for your gatherings? Time will tell. For ages 8+ and two or more players to play! Check out Yahtzee Classic on Amazon.
