$25 Makeup Challenge – March

I joined this amazing group of bloggers to bring to you our $25 Makeup/Beauty Challenge.  This was our first month, and I couldn’t be more excited.  I hem & hawed about weather I should join or not, because I didn’t know if I should allow myself to spend that amount each month or allow myself to buy makeup/beauty products each month rather.  I decided I’d take the plunge and would give me a lovely excuse to look for fun new products to add to my collection and share with you all each month.

The Rules are easy, they are as follows:

  1. Your budget is only $25, which includes any shipping you might come across and taxes.  Keep that in mind when ordering if you choose to buy online.  You may use coupons or any other discounts just make sure to make a note of that when blogging about it.
  2. If you spend less then the $25 then you may add that into next months budget.
  3. The idea is to build a quality beauty kit.  Showing all of you that it can be done a little at time to get something you normally wouldn’t allow yourself to.  It’s all about what you consider quality items.
It’s very simple.  I failed a tiny bit though in my first month. 😉  My total went over a bit because the coupon I had to use at Ulta didn’t work for my item, so alas I went over and therefore will be allowed less next month.    As you can tell $26 is its normal price at Ulta, and I got a free POP beauty crayon with it, though I am not totally sure yet what that is used for and totally forgot to look it up and post the picture with this post.
The item I picked out is the POP beauty eyeshadow.  I had a friend recommend it, so I after much browsing in the makeup aisles and even the skin care aisles I came back to this and decided I’d go for it and give it a shot.  I got the palette designed supposedly for brown eyes.
So far I am liking it.  It goes on nice and smooth, has a wide selection of colors to choose from, as you can see in the picture.  Seems to have good staying power, while I used it with my regular eye primer.  Overall I am happy with it.  I plan to update you on it in next months challenge post and let you know how I am liking it.  Keep your eyes open and peeled.

I have the hardest time getting pictures of eye makeup, but you get the idea at least

Follow the links below to check out the rest of my girls beauty products and see what they decided to go with this month!  I had fun and can’t wait for next months pick, if you have any suggestions for products please pipe in.  My budget next month is:  $21.82
