Already into 2017 Catch the Moment 365 Week 2! And this last week around our world was an adventure. Because we ended up getting dumped with snow, which never happens here. You’ll see in the photos as I share them. Seriously though starting at 6pm, Tuesday, January 10th we and by the time I got up that following morning we ended up with 13 inches of snow!
For this part of the pacific northwest, that is insane. Normally, we get one maybe two snow storms a winter. Usually only bringing a couple of inches or so each time and melted by the next day. All that snow is basically still out there now because we dipped into super cold temperatures after it. Insane I tell you!
2017 Catch the Moment 365 Week 2
Day 8 – Sunday, January 8th – Jason was stating that he’d never be able to put together a yummy creation since we are having to do low-carb. Ha! He put this yumminess together and it was amazing. Couldn’t tell you what it all is. Pork chops and salad is the basics I know.
Day 9 – Monday, January 9th – We drove around some so I could get a traditional landscape shot for the 2016 Dogwood Challenge. Ended up with the 205 Bridge and the foggy mountains in the background. Quite like the way it turned out.
Day 10 – Tuesday, January 10th – Funny enough as we were leaving for soccer, I noted to Jason look its starting to snow. Which was right around 6pm to get to his 6:40 game. By the time we did the 5 to 10-minute drive to the soccer arena the ground was covered and there were this huge puffy flakes falling. The game he was supposed to play at 8:20 got canceled because the team canceled. We head home and there is even more, snow in that short amount of time. This was shortly after we got back home after a slow scary drive home.
Day 11 – Wednesday, January 11th – A pretty sunset after all the snow fell the next day. This is for the 2017 Dogwood Challenge which was straight out of the camera with no editing. The only “editing” I did was to add my watermark in, otherwise, it was how you see it.
Day 12 – Thursday, January 12th – Started out on a new jigsaw puzzle this week.
Day 13 – Friday, January 13th – Our little hummingbirds are super thankful for our feeding them in this cold winter. I bring the feeders in each night and a few times I have seen them looking for it before I can get them back out for them.
Day 14 – Saturday, January 14th – I told Jason that I still needed to get a photo tonight. It was late and I hadn’t a clue of what to take a photo of but he looked on his phone and shared with me this beauty. He took it before he left for work that morning. He said he wished he had time to go in and get the real camera so that the thing in the sky didn’t look like a blob. Still pretty, though!
How was your week?
