Clean Air in the Home
I know. It can seem daunting to figure out what air purifier can be right for you, the space you want. Do you want one for every room, or do you want one for certain rooms? What about the whole-house purifiers? The task seems daunting. I have been there.
Because I am working directly with Medify Air, I asked them what they thought the best system would be for the space I wanted. They quickly suggested the MA-40, and I said, okay, let’s give it a go!
Now, I am here to try my best to help you find the best system for your area(s). I am excited to share my thoughts & how Medify Air is different than the other systems out there.
Clean Air in the House – Medify Air MA-40 My Thoughts and Specifics
I am going to start a bit differently and list my personal cons for the MA-40.
Cons & Pros Time
Cons
- Cold Air – it blows super cold air. Which isn’t helpful when it’s winter but may be lovely come summer. The main reason I only run it at night when we are in bed.
- Price of Filters – the price of the filter replacement is a little high for my liking. It seems a bit daunting. But with how much it filters and the layers, it does make sense. But that initial cost takes your breath away a bit.
- Noise – it’s a bit noisier than I was hoping for. With that said, though, it’s not like it’s super loud or anything, but I was hoping for a slightly less woosh.
Pros
- The overall look/design – it’s not small by any means, but it doesn’t come across as big, bulky, and unsightly. I love the overall look of it and think it fits in so nicely in our main living space. The sleek design is eye-catching even while it’s simple.
- Amount of Filtering – the amount of things they filter in the air blows me away. I can’t believe this system can filter out that much with little thought. The HEPA filter filters out 99.9% of the airborne particles, including dust, pollen, allergens, smoke, and pet dander.
- Child Lock – I love that there is a child lock on the top. You can lock it after you set it up so little hands don’t go over and start pushing all the buttons. And we know little hands love to do that! Kudos to Medify Air for adding this much-needed button.
- Filter Change – No more guessing when you last replaced the filter and if it needs to be changed. A nice little indicator light at the top lets you know it’s time to change the filter.
Details of the Medify Air MA-40
- 3-part filter – 1 is the pre-filter, which removes the dust, hair, and larger particles. 2 is the HEPA H13 filter, which removes the pollen, wildfire smoke, and pet dander. 3 is the carbon filter, which removes all those odors that linger in our homes.
- Timer – Set a timer on how long it’ll run and walk away. I set the timer each night before heading to bed for 8 hours so it can filter the whole main floor each evening. Timer choices are 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, and 8 hours.
- Cleans large spaces up to 1,680 ft in one hour & 840 ft in 30 minutes.
- Filter roughly lasts 3,000 hours or about six months, depending on usage.
- Sleep Mode
- Ionizer – to note you can’t use sleep mode & run the ionizer at the same time.

Closing Thoughts
Isn’t it lovely looking? It fits in so nicely in the main living room without looking like a big box that doesn’t belong. You have to love that about Medify Air – they make their systems pleasant looking as well as efficient. Win=Win!
