I am not going to lie to you, I do like some high-end brands and splurge on them when I can—the important word there is splurge. There is no way I could buy them regularly. Which is why I am always on the lookout for affordable alternatives. Which is why I was all for trying out M2U NYC when they approached me to try out a few of their products. I received my first package back in July. And while Lily and I tried the products and even took photos, it doesn’t seem I actually posted (maybe a quick story?). I will blame summertime. So here we are today, with all the Fall cozy vibes, showcasing some affordable glam that you are going to want to grab products from.

Affordable Glam: M2U NYC Makeup Quality Without the High Cost

I bet you’ve never heard of M2U NYC, right? I know I hadn’t until they reached out to me earlier this year. So let me tell you a bit about them first to get us started on this little story.

M2U NYC was launched in March 2020 as a certified vegan and cruelty-free makeup brand. It is also paraben, BPA, and gluten free. Not only all that, but their makeup is also filled with good-for-your-skin ingredients. Those include vitamin E, shea butter, hyaluronic acid, argan oil, and jojoba seed oil. Makeup shouldn’t feel harsh on your skin. M2U NYC makes sure it isn’t – you can feel beautiful and well cared for.

Summer Package

The first package we received this past summer included: Lady Liberty eyeshadow paletteeye primer, and tubing mascara in black.

July Makeup Bundle from M2U NYC (2)

Lady Liberty eyeshadow palette – six colors to match any mood. Vanilla, Ice Cream Cone, Confetti, Waffle, Cherry, and Liberty. Probably not my most favorite color combos, mainly because of the liberty, not a color I would personally use. Lily and I still had fun using the rest of the colors—I think I even put a bit of liberty on her for fun. The shadows themselves are really well built and glide on with ease. I love how compact their palettes are.

Eye Primer – make sure that eyeshadow stays with a good primer. This goes on nicely and smoothly and seems to grip the eyeshadow fairly well. Gripping power = check. Staying power = medium check. No creasing = triple check! Affordable price = quadruple check.

Black Tubing Mascara – I had no smudging, flaking, or clumping. It glides on great. I did find the volume wasn’t 100% to my liking, but that could be user error on not building it up enough with layers. Overall, a great, solid mascara that I will keep using.

Fall Package

The second package we received just last month included: Uptown Downtown eyeshadow palette, liquid eyeliner, and glossy lips.

October Makeup Bundle from M2U NYC (5)

Uptown Downtown eyeshadow palette – six colors that fit my fancy. These warm naturals are much more suited to my skin tone and eye color. Included in this palette are: latte, espresso, caramel, pumpkin spice, taxi, and milk. These color combos have been so much fun to play with, and I can’t wait to see what else I can create. Nice natural look that only gives a hint of color and pop—just what I like.

Liquid Eyeliner – I am not a massive fan of liquid eyeliner in general. But this glides on with ease; I don’t have any flaking or issues while using it. Easy to draw your eyeliner line with the tip of the brush.

Glossy Lips – probably one of my favorites. This had great color, went on with ease, and stayed on fairly well. I love how it didn’t make my lips feel dry. I did use lip balm before applying, as I usually do—which may have helped. It also notes that you can use a regular lip color and have been more wow look by adding this gloss on top. Especially if you are grabbing the clear, I would use it—but I received the love (a nice red).
