Five Fantastic Family Games for Cozy Season – With Giveaway
I couldn’t do a series of Cozy Season blog posts without including some games. Because what cozy season doesn’t include curling in and having some game nights? I have five fantastic family games for you, and I’m hosting a giveaway for you to enter to win them for yourself!

Five Fantastic Family Games
Boggle Jr.
I didn’t think of this as an actual game, but rather as a learning tool. Since, for the most part, it’s a solo play. Lily quickly matched the cubes to the picture and seemed to have fun seeing what she was supposed to match with the card.
A learning game for 3- to 4-year-olds, for the most part, I think. There are 3 and 4-letter words. One side features 3-letter words, while the other side features four-letter words. Then, as the child learns, there is a little cover to flip up that will cover the word, and they spell it without seeing the actual word, just the picture.

Pass the Pigs: Pig Party
This is such a fun version. There are four sets of pigs – do you think you can be the first to get your pigs to match the card? Good luck! The fun is that if you happen to get the card on your first roll, you can get a bonus roll and earn even more points.
Such a very simple game that is really a lot of fun. This is one of Lily’s favorite go-to games, and we often played it in Idaho.
For those 7 and older (although Lily has no problems playing this and finds it extremely fun to throw the pigs), up to 4 players can play at a time. Check out Pass the Pigs: Pig Party on Amazon.
Pass the Pigs: Big Pigs
We have actually played this before and found it to be a lot of fun. It can even be played outside because the pigs are so big. Throw the pigs and see what poses your piggies can do. You get your score by how the pigs land: sider, trotter, razorback, and the ever-hard snouter! The first person to score 100 points wins! Do you think you have what it takes to throw the pigs?
For those 8 years and older (but again, I don’t see why it couldn’t be younger with a bit of scoring help), and for two or more players. Check out more information on Pass the Pigs: Big Pigs on Amazon.
Pretty Pretty Princess
This is hands-down Lily’s favorite. Who doesn’t love adorning themselves in jewels? Be the first to get all your jewelry in your color set, plus the crown, and win. Just don’t get stuck with the mystery ring! We have played three times already, and Lily has won every single time.
For those 5 years and older, it can be played with 2 to 4 players. While it states 5 years or older to play, I don’t see why it couldn’t be younger – watch out for the earrings. Found out more about Pretty, Pretty, Princess on Amazon.
Rack-0 Jr.
The one game we haven’t gotten a chance to play yet fully, but I have a feeling Lily is going to get it reasonably quickly once we do. Jason says he used to love the regular version when he was younger, so it’ll be fun to play this and see what we think together.
Be the first player to fill your rack with cards numbered from lowest to highest. Number cards are color-coded to match the colors of the rainbow (and colors on the racks). Lily knows all her colors already and is quickly learning to recognize her numbers.
