Exciting News with Four New Updates at Idaho Deer Haven

I knew we were heading over to our Idaho home for a very quick visit in March. With that in mind, I stalked my Wayfair Tried & True to find products we could update the home with. Lucking out with one item at the end of February and the rest in the beginning of March before we made our way over. I am pretty giddy over the updates, and I can not wait until we can do more. Bit by bit, we’ll get both homes improved. See the four new updates at Idaho Deer Haven in this post.

The four main items were part of the Wayfair Tried & True program, which I received free of charge in exchange for my honest thoughts. The post below contains affiliate links from Wayfair, for which I will receive a small kickback if you use the links to buy the product. The bonus items at the end are included with my Amazon affiliate link.

It can seem so overwhelming to figure out what we need to do for both our homes. But I just have to keep telling myself, you can only do what you can when you can. Little by little, things will get done and improved. Breath. So bit by bit, I’ll keep sharing, and hopefully you all will keep supporting by reading my posts and shopping my links.

Sharing the Four New Updates at Idaho Deer Haven

The things I was able to grab for our Idaho home were the following: a shoe bench for the front door, a new dining room light upgrade, a dresser for the full room, and new nightstands for the full room. Now let’s dive into those details a bit more.

Main Rooms Updates

The first thing I grabbed was the Bench and Shoe Storage unit, which came with a cute hook rack, too. The bench seems very sturdy and makes the space look so put-together. It does make a bit of noise when opening and closing the shoe area because you can stop it at different levels, which is why it clicks. The hooks are cute and will be handy for other coats and bags. Assembling seemed easy enough while Jason did it.

For the next project, the main rooms were upgraded, including the dining room light. The light itself is so cute and looks perfect for our Idaho Deer Haven theme. However, the instructions that came with it didn’t match the items we received, and the pieces themselves were already peeling apart. I probably wouldn’t recommend it, but it does look cute up.

Full Room Updates, aka Lily’s Room

Getting a dresser into the room was a top priority for me; it was the only bedroom without one. I eyed this cute white dresser that was perfect for a kid’s room because it was just a bit shorter than your average dresser. It came together with ease and looks so cute in that room. Lily loves it. She was using it as a desk too, and she looked adorable playing with it. Drawers slide with ease. Hopefully, those who stay in that room love it too.

Lastly, we upgraded the nightstands in the full room. What we had was fine, but a bit wide. The new 2-pack nightstands not only have top outlets for ease, but also have fun lights to play with or leave solid for littles to sleep. Built, they seem sturdy, and like they’ll last a long time. Highly recommend these. The remote for the lights also has a sync sound feature, which is just a fun bonus.

Bonus updates

We were able to do a little bit of spring cleaning, and I brought over my label maker (Brother Label Maker, not my exact one, but pretty close). With the handy-dandy labels, I was able to go through and label everything in the kitchen (behind the doors, so only visible once you open them) – making putting things back so much easier. I labeled quite a few other areas too, hopefully tactfully.

I also grabbed one of the light/sound machines for the full room – great for kids & adults – I’ll slowly add them to all the bedrooms, but knew that was the one that needed it the most. You can spy it in the picture below, all lit up. It’s in between Lily’s phone and art case.

And lastly, I grabbed the much-needed new vacuum for the house. I went with this Shark Lift-Away, and I think it’s going to be great for a long time. I was very impressed when I used it after we arrived.

More Updates Coming

Of course, updates are always coming – we are likely to go over in June again to try to tackle the front drainage and do whatever other updates we can then. As always, I’ll share them with you all, too!

Remember to follow my Wayfair storefront as well to stay updated (and buy yourself) on all the fun stuff I end up finding to showcase and try out.

  1. I love that shoe bench! It’s really versatile. There’s a spot in my living room I’d like to put it, then fill it up with games.

Even if the light fixture wasn’t the best quality, it’s super cute and rustic.

The Idaho House is looking so good! Do you allow pets?

    1. The shoe bench is so cute. I am so pleased with it too! I just hope it doesn’t break from someone sitting on it. lol Time will tell.

And of course we allow pets – duh – it’s us. Hehe, though the hair has been an issue from time to time, I’m hoping that the new vacuum helps with that somewhat.
