Planning your Weekly Menus with Meals by the Week Review +Giveaway ends 6/4/14 at 4p.m.(PST)

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I think I have briefly mentioned on here, how I like to plan out two week meal plans.  Plus ideally only doing grocery shopping once per month.  I figure if I do the two week meal plan, there will be nights where we don’t do the meal scheduled and usually our plan can last us longer.  If not, there would still be enough food around to have some kind of dinner.

Therefore, its amazing only have to go grocery shopping every 3 to 4 weeks.  Yes, we do have to go occasional trip during those 3 to 4 weeks to pick up a little something we didn’t have anything left of or changed our mind on, but basic full up grocery shopping is the 3 to 4 weeks time frame.  I love it.

I truly think the menu planning out is what helped me achieve this little feat.  I write out our meals and then write out my grocery shopping list with those meals in mind, plus other normal things.

Meals by the Week

Which is why I was pretty giddy to try out Meals by the Week, because sometimes figuring out what we will be having is the hardest part.  Meals by the Week helps you plan out the week menu by providing you recipes for that week, where you can put how many people are you feeding that week (2, 4, 6, 8).  Once you have the weeks recipes you can decide with each recipe if you want to keep it, double it, or skip it.  After that you can choose to print your menus and print your shopping list.  Making it easy to have on hand what you are having while also printing out your shopping list.

Since I am trying to watch what we eat and provide healthy meals I picked the 400 calories per meal menu, but there are several for you to choose from to fit your needs and wants.  Meals in Minutes, Vegetarian, Paleo, or Cleaning Eating (which is coming soon and greatly interest me as well).

I loved that there is also an archive for you to choose from, since the current week when I picked out our recipes there was several I skipped that just weren’t us.  I found though lots of goodies in the archive to choose from.

One of the recipes we made was a Chicken Quesadilla and it was AMAZING.  So yummy!!  It will be something we will be making in the future, both my husband and I loved it!
