I think it’s engraved into most our brains when the weather is nice we must actually leave the house to enjoy it. While yes, it’s great to get in your car or walk somewhere else, your home has so much to offer on a nice warm day. Knowing when the weather is nice most of us want to get out and enjoy it. But don’t discount just stepping into your own outdoor space to enjoy that weather. These are just 5 ways to enjoy warm weather right at home. But I know there are countless more. But maybe one or two of these ideas will spark your fancy and the next nice day you’ll just spend it happily at home enjoying it.
5 Ways to Enjoy Warm Weather Right at Home
Molkky
If you haven’t heard of this game yet, look it up now. It’s one of our all-time favorite lawn games and brings us hours of enjoyment and fun. I ended up getting it as a party post a few years back and it has seriously become one of our favorites to bring out for parties.
It’s much like bowling, the concept anyway. Knock down the pins with your wooden thrower(called a Molkky). The pins(called Skittles) have 1 to 12 at top. Your object is to be the first to get 50 points without going over. Getting 50 points even. If you go over 50 points, you’ll be knocked back down to 25. Taking turns throwing the Molkky, if you strike out and don’t hit any skittles 3 times in a row, you are out. Knockdown 1 skittle, get the number at the top of that skittle. Knockdown more then one get the amount you knocked down (so say you knocked down 3, you get 3 points).
It’s seriously so fun and easy to learn. Go out and buy it now.
Gardening/Yard Work
This might not sound like much fun to some of us but we all know it needs to be done. And most of the time, once we get out there and start doing it, does become kind of fun. Especially once you start seeing progress. And think of the satisfaction you’ll feel once it’s all done too. Crack open that all-new Michelob Ultra Pure Gold after all that work. Badminton
Badminton has been one of my lifelong favorite lawn games. I tease the people Jason plays soccer with, saying if they came up with a badminton place like soccer, you’d so get me to play. BBQ
This one is probably a known fact for most of you. There is nothing like a good BBQ. Especially if you can gather people and make a full day of it. Including in some of the games listed here.
Jason and I can only do a party of two this last weekend and so it was a bit quiet, but we made it work. There are so many different dishes you could BBQ up and enjoy. I hope Jason and I can be sharing a few recipes perfect for the BBQer with you this summer.

Ladder Ball
Another lawn game that is fairly easy and perfect to play with in the yard. I imagine most of you know about ladder ball. But for those that don’t know, its a 3 tier ladder looking thing that you throw these two balls connected by a string (called a bola). The object is to score 21 points, each ring being worth 1, 2, 3 points.
It’s a fun and simple game that you’ll want to have in your lawn game collection if you don’t have it already.
Wrapping it Up
