Here we are at the final week of a full month of following the idea of Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks – While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion. How are we feeling? What did we think of the meal plan and idea behind eating after 7 pm? It’s time to share the last update on Eating After Seven.
This post is brought to you by our sponsor, “Always Eat After 7 PM”. The opinions expressed below are my own.
We’ve done a blog post a week as we started this journey. Week one was just lay down on what we were hoping to achieve from this plan. Week two was a bit more in-depth of our goals and a little Q & A with Joel Marion. And last week was a touch base of how we were doing with our goals.
Today we are going to be throwing all those together to really let you know how we did and how we are feeling. Did this do anything for us? Will we keep up on this way of eating?
Last Update on Eating After Seven
We’ve eaten yummy and filling food. While also still having dessert after the majority of our dinners. Like the one below. Which was so much yummy. A simple yet tasty dessert bark.
Jason and I have both lost weight. I seem to have more energy throughout the day, though I still get afternoon hunger pains. Jason’s blood sugar has lowered a lot with this way of eating. Which is the most amazing news! And the main one we were hoping for.
I love the idea behind this little quote…
“Specific higher-carbohydrate foods (including berries and cherries) support your fat-burning metabolism while you sleep, providing your body with a steady stream of fuel throughout the night. The trick is knowing how to combine them with other evening and pre-bedtime fat-burning foods to fuel your metabolism as you sleep.”
The idea that you can eat when your body is the most hungry is amazing and love that it actually works for your body for good. The evening snack seems the most important part of this meal plan in fact. Which is good and bad since I am not always wanting a snack in the evening. Jason is always up for it though and I think that is what has really helped his blood sugar be more stable.
Will we keep it up? I think yes, for 98% of it. In fact, we are going camping soon and we did up meal plans that fit this way of eating. Does that tell you anything? We have enjoyed it and it seems to work.
“Always Eat After 7 pm is a three-phase program that teaches you how to lose big by strategically eating big when you are naturally hungriest—in the evening. This may sound too good to be true, but let me assure you it is no gimmick. It’s all about making strategic and smart food swaps, and you can still eat your favorite foods.”
Of course, we’ll tweak it a bit to fit more of when we are hungry but for the most part, this is one we’ll stick with. We are also looking forward to trying more of the recipes in the book.
