I just love giving.  It’s a part of me and makes me super giddy.  I am not going to lie, I love receiving gifts too, but I never give expecting to receive something in return.  I also never give just one gift, my gifts are usually a collection of items.  It’s just how I am, I can’t help it.  Or I could, but I really don’t want to.

Which is why gift baskets for people make the perfect idea with how I like to give!

A Base

Find something to give it in or on.  I went with this cute basket, but I had an idea of doing a serving tray but wasn’t sure how exactly how to gift it that way.  Do you have any ideas on how to make it work?  I also had an idea of a teapot and filling goodies that way.  I’d love to hear what you’d use as a base on how to make a tea lovers basket this season!

So instead just stuck with this basket. Isn’t it cute though and perfect for the Holiday season.

This is just an option if you so choose.  But I added in a scent envelope before putting in the goodies.  Just under the tissue paper.  It adds that nice scent when you give it to someone without being overpowering.  Covering then with tissue paper of your choice.

You could also add a candle or a melted wax if they use those.  Just something that wafts out at them when you give it to them, to make them say oh that smells good.

Tea Mugs

I think it’s essential to make it a basket for two; after all isn’t it more fun to have tea for two instead of just one?  I added in two tea mugs fitting for the Holiday season.

Adding in some choice of tea is kind of no-brainer I think when it comes to how to make a tea lovers basket, but it is worth mentioning!

I grabbed three different boxes of Bigelow tea at Walmart to add in my basket and think they are the perfect varieties for the Holiday season.  The flavors I grabbed were Salted Caramel, Pumpkin Spice, and Constant Comment.  I only put the Salted Caramel in the basket itself but plan on giving the other two with it as well.

Tea Pot

I added in a little teapot to steep the tea in and think it balances out the tea basket beautifully, you can choose to add in the teapot or not, but I think any tea lover would love one even if they already have one.

Lastly, add a bit of snack to go with the tea.  I added in this little tin of cookies for the Holiday season.  Perfect little tea cookies and again perfect to share!

If you are more adventurous than I, you could bake some cookies to put in the basket to give it an even more personal touch!

Who do you plan to give a Tea Lovers Basket to this year?  What kind of goodies would you like to add?  What flavors of Bigelow tea would you choose?

  • Debbie Gibson

I think you could put all this on a serving tray, you would need to pack basket filler around the items. I hope this next year i can become more like you, and be able to give fun thought out gifts. I guess i need to shop throughout the year like you do, problem is i would probably forget where i hid the gifts. lol!

    • You could always gets a tote (or like me totes) and keep them in the attic to store things in throughout the year you might find. That way you have a certain place for them and will know right where everything is.

      • Debbie Gibson

I do have an empty tote in the attic, I will have to try your way this next year. 😊

  • This is such a great idea for my sister who loves tea! You did a great job in picking out all the needed items to make a great gift basket. [client]

    • Thanks Janet. I thought later that a pair of socks might be fun too and if you know what kind of books they like or puzzles books, those would be super fun to add in too!

  • Rose Powell

Well I just love the addition of a little tea pot, I’ve always wanted one, so that would throw it over the top in happiness for me. I also love idea of using tea pot as a base, but it would have to be a big on lol.

    • You don’t know how much searching I had to do for that pot. You’d think it would be easy to find. lol And yes I thought the same thing about the tea pot as the base, but gosh it would be a cute idea.

  • This is such a great post! Thanks for sharing.

  • RoseSiders

Angie this turned out SO cute! This would make a lovely hostess gift too. My husband loves tea and that teapot is absolutely adorable (I don’t think he would appreciate the cuteness as much as I do. lol).

    • Thanks Rose – I am really giddy with how it turned out even though I had other ideas running through my head for it! lol And the tea pot would be useful at least, so you can think its cute and he can find it useful 😉

  • aprilaakre

I absolutely love this. It would make such a great gift. I love tea.

    • Thanks April. Believe it or not, I never used to be a fan. Jason had to pretty much sit on me in the past when I was sick to drink something hot lol

  • I really love the idea of finding something someone likes, such as tea, and making an adorable, thoughtful gift basket. To me it’s such a heartfelt, well thought out gift versus something on just another list. This is such a great idea!

    • Thanks Melissa!
I really loved this too. I’d be giddy to receive something like this.

      • My favorite tea is Dandelion Root. What’s yours?

        • I don’t know that I have a favorite really, but I really like the taste of licorice in tea. yum!

          • Well, I just got a new tea infuser, so I’m trying out various teas. For bagged teas I try to stick with Traditional Medicinals, Numi and Rishi. They’re organic and non-GMO.
