Finish This wouldn’t be such a success without the following beautiful ladies: Lisa at Coastlined, Nicole at Three 31, Jen at The Arizona Russums, and Becky at The Java Mama! Check them out and then play along!
It’s the last day of the year 2014, which means I’ll be doing a year in review Finish This Style!
Finish This – Year in Review for 2014
What did you do in 2014 that you’d never done before?
This is probably going to be the boring answer, but I can’t think of any other at the moment, but taking the major leap and buying my own domain and then months later transferring over to own self-hosted blog. BIG huge leaps for me.
Did you keep your new years’ resolutions? Will you make more in 2015?
Not so much resolutions, but a big long list of thing’s I’d like to carry out in the year, which you can find under Welcome to 2014. I’ll be doing a new list like that one and looking back on those “goals” in a post in the upcoming week or so. So yes I’ll be doing another list like that one in 2015, so New Year’s Resolutions kinda, in a sense.
Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not that I can think of. My old best friend from elementary school had a baby though this past December, Caleb. He was born pre-mature though and has made huge steps to be able to come home soon.
Did anyone close to you die?
Not this year.
What countries did you visit?
No countries, barely anywhere at all.
What would you like to have in 2015 that you lacked in 2014?
Money? Time? Vacations? Hiking? There was so much this last year lacked and made it a year I am so done with. I hope 2015 will be a much better year all around for us.
What date from 2014 will remain etched upon your memory?
25th of November. The day our life once again took a big shift and not sure still where we are headed over that.
What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Again buying my own domain and then transferring over to my very own self-hosted blog.
What was your biggest failure?
I am sure there has been some failure of some sort, but right at this moment I am running a total blank on anything.
Did you suffer illness or injury?
When I awkwardly fell down our back stairs to the basement. Where I probably broke something in my foot/ankle, as it still hurts here and there, but never went in for it as I should have.
What was the best thing you bought?
The best? I can only think of the most expensive and it’s still up in the air if it’s the BEST. We did finally get smartphones in February and I think those are pretty awesome.
Whose behavior merited celebration?
No real answer for this one either.
Where did most of your money go?
Bills, car repairs – you know the average money pits
What did you get really excited about?
Buying my own domain
Our Vacation House Rental in February
Becoming Self-Hosted
My 35th Birthday Getaway
What song will always remind you of 2014?
If you know anything about me, you know I don’t really pay attention to music as a whole. I love listening, don’t get me wrong, but to name out songs just isn’t my thing. With that said, since it’s my text ringtone right now, Boom Clap.

Well, that is past? Right? Not Christmas 2015? We spent it at my Sister & Brother in-law’s. After spending Christmas morning at home opening gifts and watching movies.

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2014.
That life doesn’t always go as planned and sometimes it all falls out of the bottom. You can only hope that fall out was making room for something much better all around.
Quote that sums up the year:
“Everything happens for a reason, though we might not know why at the time”
